Animal Collective - My Girls

I feel like I've never really understood these guys until I heard this track. It's Beautiful, like the Beach Boys singing over the Orb.

Junior Boys - Last Exit

I really like Junior Boys. I've already posted a couple of their videos. If you like this, search the others. They have proven to be one of the best and most versatile electronic acts around today. From dancefloors to chill lounds, these boys know how to make it sound good.

John Acquaviva - Metal Detector

I think I may like this video better than the song. The video's hilarious, metal detector hijinx, of national security proportions. The song has a nice edge to it, as it plows through the dancefloor like a tingle of the spine, from the bass in your face.

Richie Hawtin - The Tunnel

music video for the richie hawtin track "the tunnel" by ali m. demirel

This goes out to all those who couldn't make it to DEMF this year. Here's a piece from techno legend Richie Hawtin. Hawtin is famous for his Plastikman of rave lore. Nobody has done it better or as long as this dude. He's like a techno fudamentalist with no desire to ever sell out to cash it in big. The continuing works of genius from this dude needs props from all.

Moby - Whispering Wind

A good Moby song without the formula that made him famous (I mean outside the electronic music field). It's a nice relaxing tune with insightful lyrics and a nice vibe. Sunday driving music, let the top down!

The Pink Mountaintops - White Witch.

I've always liked witches and this white witch is no exception. It could definitely be longer, but I like what I hear.

AtOm

Marc Romboy feat Chelonis R Jones - The Beat

I really enjoyed this video. Nature is truly freaky, just like the vibe on this trance electro mover.

MF Doom - Dead Bent

MF DOOM, video for Dead Bent from his classic solo debut Operation: Doomsday.

When Doom is on, there's nobody better at flippin lyrics. I wish there were more songs like this on his new one. He's still one of my favorites.

Salem - Astronaut

Had to place this one again just to make sure it was really as good as I thought it was. I am instantly in love with this song. Great stuff, really!

Terre Thaemlitz - Fat Chair

from the album 'chill out phase two' (1994) Label: Instinct Records, video. Andy Goldsworthy - Rivers and Tides

This is a truly beautiful meditative composition. Both the video and audio hint at a journey of sorts through life with a definite end that is poeticaly unavoidable.

The Juan Maclean - One Day

The Juan Maclean - "One Day" Album - The Future Will Come - www.thejuanmaclean.com Directed by Patrick Longstreth - www.patricklongstreth.com (c) 2009 DFA Records

The Juan MacLean does electro house with all cheese withheld for your dietary needs. If I'm not mistaken this guy is from Columbus, although his music comes via New York City in the name of DFA Records. Buy them, love them.

Max Peezay ft. Ears & Radioclit - Emergency

Max Peezay brings together a nice crew for this one and the result is dope. I always think it's ridicuous that American audience's aren't more accepting of British hip hop. Oh well, their loss.

AtOm

The Prodigy - Omen

The Prodigy return with what they do best. Loud beats with a punk edge that make you want to take a few spins in the pit. In the spirit of NIN and Ministry, The Prodigy are making a strong effort to get back on top after a long lull between hits. This one is apparently on The Terminator: Salvation Soundtrack. I've always liked them, I felt that maybe they had lost their way after they hit it big, but if you like there early stuff, you should like this.

Deepchord Presents Echospace

This is some serious dubtech ambient out of Detroit. Those seeking builds to a crescendo need look elsewhere. Deepchord bubbles along with some subtle subconscious grooves that drive without warrant of a destination. Enjoy the journey through the streets at night in Germany, viewed through the black and white lense of future art.

Ani Maamin - DeScribe דיסקרייב , JewDa Maccabi , Taz

Ani Maamin official music video Ani Maamin official video clip Music produced by Taz, Music engineered by Elyada Ramon. Lyrics by DeScribe, Taz, JewDa Maccabi. Video directed and produced by DeScribe.

I came across this one looking for a video for Taz. He shows some nice production skills on this track. I think from the looks of this, these are some true Jewish hip hop heads producing a peace anthem for the homeland via NYC. All in all it's a really strong effort that I'm quite pleased to have found. Hip hop is worldwide culture.

Erika Rose - Rosegarden

Erika Rose's debut album Rosegarden, video title track "Rosegarden"

Wow, this girl's got some real talent. We'll be hearing more from this souljazz queen in the future. I like rosegardens alot and this song fits like a glove. It's good to see botany become the focus of some new art. Simply beautiful!

1200 Techniques - Karma

I can't believe I haven't heard of these guys before. They are obviously a well-polished group that likes to make funky music for puppeteering, an underappreciated art for the ages. Freaky, yet with none of the disgusting displays in such videos as Team America and Sad Kermit. Let's keep our puppets pure America, and we'll try our best to get our kids to follow. Puppets are the answer...buy your child a puppet today... puppets.

N'fa - Cause An Effect

Heath Ledger directs Cause An Effect by N'Fa

Directed by Heath Ledger? No kidding? What a weird dude he was. There's no doubt we'll be missing what could have been. This is a pretty nice track, with a wierd ass video that I really like.

Daedelus - Sundown

Music video for "Sundown" by Daedelus. Directed by Clay Lipsky. From the album Denies The Day's Demise on Mush Records.

Daedelus is like a mad scientist with music. There's no telling what he'll come up with next. On plenty of occasions his concoctions have proven to be genius. The visual compliment for this song is quite a ride.

Massive Attack - Live With Me

Directed by Jonathan Glazer

This is a nice soulful downtempo track from the namesake that used to drive the entire genre. The video is a nice piece of work from Jonathon Glazer, one of my favorite directors. I strongly recomend the Selections DVD featuring a collection of his music video's and commercial. You'll probably find a favorite on there that you might not have known was his. Massive Attack shows that they still have what it takes, despite the dwindling number of members involved.

Smashing Pumpkins - Disarm

This is one of my favorite Smashing Pumpkin songs. It should have been called epic!

aToM

Pinback - Fortress

Pinback has such a dynamic sound. They've really mastered a definitive niche and I expect much more greatness to come.

aToM

Aphex Twin - Windowlicker

One of my favorite music videos of all time. Aphex Twin and Chris Cunningham are a sickening combo that is shocking to say the least.

aToM

Adem - Launch Yourself

New video for Adem's track 'Launch Yourself' taken from his second album 'Love and Other Planets'

This is a song of heartbreak set to retro space travel. It's been done a million times before right? Adem Ilhan sounds like an English Sufjan Stevens. I like it!

Sonic Youth - Kool Thing

This is one of my favorite Sonic Youth tracks. It's one of their more coherent efforts with plenty of distortion to fill that noise fix. This one just never gets old.

Tom Tom Club - Genius Of Love

Here's the classic track from the Tom Tom Club that still sounds fresh today. Not to mention it has been sampled out the ass. This takes me back to 80's night at Skully's.

CSS - Let's Make Love and Listen to Death From Above

CSS, Sao Paulo Brazil's favorite party rockers, are coming to the US this summer for their first very big very booty shakin' tour of the states to celebrate the July 11the release of their new album...

CSS comes out with another cute electro stomper. The production on this one is super clean and takes out some of the edge of their earlier works, but I'm still kdigging this one. Dropping the name of Death From Above like LCD did Daft Punk, there's no doubting these kids are hipsters.

aToM

St Germain - Sure Thing

St. Germain does the acid jazz blues on this track. Just like that genre itself, the video depicts a young man who buys an album and plays along at home on his guitar. Some of the world's greatest art is inspired by the works of others. That is how music evolves rapidly as each generation builds on the last. There is no denying the presence of the past in Sure Thing. Another sure thing is that buying The Tourist album is money well spent.

Theo Parrish - Falling up (Carl Craig remix)

THEO PARRISH - FALLING UP CARL CRAIG remix :LIVE ANIMATION response to the seminal CARL CRAIG remix of THEO PARRISH's Falling up. Live visuals mixed at SPIKE ISLAND studios. Bristol. UK

The Field - Everday

This is some serious intelligent dance music. Almost all music is either made with or refined by computers these days. This is a long epic with plenty of breaks and builds to keep you interested. The video is some footage from what I think is probably a Laugh-a-lympics? I used to love catching one of those on a Saturday morning. As I've aged, I've come to be much more patient with tracks like this. Within this genre there are more than a few exceptional compositions deserving overdue recognition as fine works of art. Relax and enjoy!
